Happy March everyone, and welcome to another glimpse into the wild and exciting world of your favourite celebrities, AKA the gorgeous staff of Stomping Grounds!

I don’t know about y’all, but I am in need of a serious spring pick-me-up. We may not control the weather, but springtime waits for no snow storm. If the freezing temps won’t cease, we’ll bring spring to Geneva ourselves…

SPRING REFRESH

I (mysterious newsletter author Barrow) just enjoyed the first sunny day in Maastricht, where I am studying, and it was genuinely transcendental. I feel like a new woman. Since I cannot ship sunshine back to the States, here are some of the best March blues remedies we have in-store:

HOME

It is so important to curate a home that brings you joy, in any and every sense of the word. Being intentional with what you bring into your space is all it takes to give your home a little spring refresh ⋆˙⟡

A cutesy new look for your grocery list and daily to-dos

As a candle addict, they are a MUST for keeping good vibes in the home

The sweetest trinket dish maybe ever??

Puzzles so pretty you have an excuse leave them on the coffee table for three weeks

BODY

March feels like an in-between month: not quite winter, not quite spring. In this liminal space, it can be especially easy to neglect caring for our bodies. However, a little treat for our physical form should be top priority! Have a nice bath, a sweet snack, and enjoy some of SG’s personal care…

Faerie perfume to live out your woodland nymph dreams

Delicious bakes to enjoy on your own or for a neighbourhood gathering

Dainty rose earrings to ring in the early flowers

High-quality syrups for casual cocktails

Natural brain-boosting effects for your morning coffee

Part of a range of delicious jams and spreads worth eating straight from the jar

MIND

Taking care of your mental health may seem obvious, but a little mental refresh goes a loooooong way in these pre-spring weeks. Be sure to connect with friends and loved ones, and remember that the flowers are on their merry way!

For your most whimsical thoughts and musings

Take off some stress by letting this adorable deck guide you

Impress your friends with concerningly accurate flower identification skills

Nothing overwhelming here—gentle, small reminders for self-care

A seasonal guide to taking care of your mind and prioritising yourself

Our daily mantra reminder

NEW ARRIVALS

St. Patrick's Day themed, because obviously!! Fun fact, I (still your fave mysterious newsletter author Barrow) grew up part-time in Ireland, and while it is as magical as the lore suggests, the faint of heart may want to take St. Paddy's in Dublin off their bucket list ;)

First, a moment for our March display…

Call us the framing wizards, because we've been working some magic…

COMMUNITY UPDATES

BIG NEWS THIS MONTH!!! You all know Marilla: downtown legend, owner of Marilla’s Mindful Supplies (locations in both Geneva and Rochester because Marilla is a small business machine), singer from the Lipker Sisters, and cohost of world-renowned podcast TYFU with our very own Beth. Well, she has just added a new title to her long list: twin mama!

It is our absolute joy to congratulate Marilla and her husband, Joe, on the birth of their perfect twins, Lulu and Dot!!! We are so excited to have two new additions to our little downtown community. The girls will grow up with some of the coolest parents in the one of the coolest shops in one of the coolest cities (in our humble and correct opinions). We love you Marilla, Joe, Lulu, and Dot!

To protect the girls’ privacy, Barrow made this very bad drawing. We promise the girls are much cuter and less burrito-like than this drawing may imply. Good thing Barrow is not an art major.

BOOK CLUB

Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë (1847)

For this month’s book review, we wanted to do something a bit different. Everyone is buzzing about the new film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, and here at Stomping Grounds, we have some ~opinions~ on the book itself.

CHELSEA: I only got halfway through because of who I am.
BARROW: Haven’t even read it but Wuthering Heights is my greatest enemy.
BETH: “Whatever our souls are made of, Wuthering Heights and mine are the same.” (Get it…wink wink…)
ALISON: Ummm I got Margot Robbie correct on the Wuthering Heights trivia question last night. Does that count?
BELLA: This is what twisted Tik-Tok dark romance novels wish they were.

Thanks for another lovely month in G-Town, can’t wait for March!!

See you next month!
