📚 A New Chapter 📚

As many of you know, we have been up to our elbows in a long-awaited expansion into the full length of the 41 Seneca Street storefront. We have a grand vision for the next few months, starting with a much-needed switch-up in our framing space.

Our framing studio has moved into the newly renovated back room, providing a luxurious and airy space to give your art the glow-up it deserves. Light! Storage! Space! What a dream!

What about the old framing room, you ask? You’re in for a surprise…

Stomping Grounds now has a “dining room!” Here you can find cheeky mugs, deliciously unique coffee, local treats, vintage and new cookbooks, cocktail supplies, and all of the delightful vibes you could ask for.

The Dining Room is still in early stages, so be sure to stop by and see how it’s evolving.

💡 New In 💡

We are ringing in the official start of autumn with some fall-centric products and decor. Here are just a few (click any image to see the product on our website):

🌎 Community Updates 🌎

As you may know, Stomping Grounds is a big fan of a field trip. Recently, Beth made her way over to Sulfur Books in Clifton Springs, an independent non-profit owned bookshop, and loved it!

Beth’s Review: “We finally visited @sulfurbooks in Clifton Springs, and it did not disappoint! The store's bright, clean, and stylish vibe made browsing a delight. Their thoughtfully curated selection featured new and used books, kids' books, banned and challenged books, cards, journals, totes, and more. This is what indie bookstores are all about: great atmosphere, excellent service, and fantastic books! It's definitely worth a visit!”

🖼️ Featured Framing 🖼️

We are loving our new framing room setup. Check out some of our recent framing projects!

If you would like to have a featured spot for your framing in an upcoming email, bring in your art and let us know! We will document the entire decision and framing process for a special spot in the next newsletter.

📕Stomping Grounds Book Club📕

As the Best Bookshop in the Finger Lakes (Finger Lakes Times said it, not us), we have quite a few books we want to showcase as a part of the newsletter, so our staff will be reviewing a different book each month! This month’s book is part of our Banned Books Collection…

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut (1969)

Want to read banned books? Start with Slaughterhouse-Five. This haunting and powerful book is an incredible exploration of the terrors of war, as it follows Billy Pilgrim and the infamous firebombing of Dresden in WWII. Witty, satirical, strange, and disturbing, it is absolutely a must-read for everyone. Also there are aliens?? Just read it. “So it goes…”
